Sarah Rule is Professor Emeritus of Special Education and Rehabilitation at Utah State University
Dr. Rule's 35 year career accomplishments include development of services to individuals with disabilities and families, curriculum development, and personnel preparation. Past director of the Center for Persons with Disabilities (CPD), Utah's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, she is affiliated with early intervention and postsecondary inclusion projects at the CPD. She served as associate editor of Topics in Early Childhood Special Education and the Journal of Special Education Technology and is an editorial board member for the Journal of Early Intervention and Teacher Education and Special Education. Her publications include more than 50 articles that address intervention with young children in everyday settings, preparation of personnel to provide interdisciplinary services, and distance education. She has been a board member of the national Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children and the Association of University Centers on Disabilities and served on various state advisory boards, councils and committees. She has directed more than 25 externally funded projects.
