Doctoral Student
Katie (Endicott) Harris moved here from Northern California, where she worked with Dr. Mark Sundberg teaching children with autism. She entered the doctoral program to work with Dr. Tom Higbee, and was a part of the ASSERT program from the first year it began, serving as an Assistant Director for 5 years. During that time, she was able to help promote the ASSERT model in Weber County and provide training to teachers throughout the state. She now works with local school districts as a special education coordinator and behavior specialist, and is currently collecting data for her dissertation. Her research interests include: Verbal Behavior, Direct Instruction, development of social/play skills, and staff training.
