Joy Pollard

Doctoral Student

Joy Pollard is in her second year in the Disability Disciplines Doctoral Program with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. Joy came to Utah State to work with Dr. Higbee in the ASSERT preschool program and has over four years of experience working with children with autism. Some current research projects include: Using scripts and script-fading procedures to teach joint attention and promote language with young children with autism, teaching basic language skills via video instruction, and sibling-implemented scripts to promote commenting within play.
