Doctoral Student
Barbara is a graduate student in the disability studies tract. She has a B.S. degree in physical therapy and M.S. in public health. Barbara works in the movement analysis laboratory at Shriners Hospital with children with disabilities. Her research interests are in motion analysis and outcome measures for children with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal health conditions. Her focus in disability studies has been in using measures of participation and environmental accommodations to encourage participation with the children and their families she sees at Shriners. She is also interested in encouraging an awareness of the social political implications of disability within the physical therapy profession.
