Dept of Special Education & Rehabilitation Undergraduate Outcome Data 2003-2004

Practicum observations were conducted throughout the academic year and students completed practicum evaluations at the end of each semester.  At the end of their junior year students complete a comprehensive evaluation of their special education courses and practica.  At the end of fall semester 2003 all Student Teaching Portfolios were copied and sorted into programs.  Faculty were divided into groups of two or three.  Each group reviewed one area of the student teaching portfolio across programs.  They described problems and offered recommendations for revising the student teaching handbook and/or supervisor training.  The recommendations will be implemented during the 2004-2005 academic year.
